Daring Ventures Counseling, Coaching, and Consultation, LLC ("Daring Ventures," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through our website at jakeporter.daringventures.com and related online services that link to this Policy (the "Site"), how we use and share it, and the choices you have.

This Policy covers information collected through the Site. It does not cover protected health information created or received in connection with therapy or other clinical services — that information is addressed in our separate Notice of Privacy Practices. Your use of the Site is also subject to our Terms of Use.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide to us. We collect information you choose to give us, such as when you:

  • complete a contact or inquiry form (for example, your name, email address, phone number, and mailing address);
  • sign up for our newsletter, webinars, or other communications;
  • create an account or register for a course or program;
  • purchase a product or service;
  • post a comment on our blog; or
  • otherwise communicate with us by email, phone, or message.

Information collected automatically.   • Essential cookies, which are needed for the Site to work;
  • Analytics cookies, which help us measure and improve Site performance. We use Google Analytics for this purpose; you can learn about its practices and opt-out options through Google's published policies. 

You can control cookies through your browser settings, including blocking or deleting them, though some features of the Site may not work properly without them. 

5. Third-Party Links and Services

The Site may link to or incorporate third-party websites and tools — for example, scheduling (such as Calendly), payment processing, and social media platforms. We do not control these third parties, and their own privacy policies, not this one, govern the information they collect. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any third-party service you use.

6. Payment Information

Purchases made through the Site are processed by a third-party payment processor. Payment-card details are provided directly to that processor and handled under its privacy and security practices; we do not store full payment-card numbers. Please do not send payment-card information to us by email.

7. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect the information under our control, including encrypting the transmission of sensitive information where appropriate. However, no method of transmitting or storing information is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Data Retention

We keep personal information collected through the Site for as long as needed to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, to provide services you have requested, and to meet legal, accounting, or reporting requirements — after which we delete or de-identify it. Retention of clinical records is governed by applicable law and professional requirements and is addressed in our Notice of Privacy Practices.

9. Your Choices

  • Marketing emails. You can unsubscribe from our marketing emails at any time using the link in those emails, or by contacting us. We may still send you non-marketing messages, such as messages about a purchase or your account.
  • Cookies. You can manage cookies through your browser settings (see Section 4).
  • Accessing or updating your information. You may ask us to access, correct, update, or delete personal information we hold about you, and we will respond consistent with applicable law. To make a request, contact us using the information in Section 14.

10. Children's Privacy

The Site is intended for adults aged 18 and older and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, consistent with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete it. If you believe a child may have provided us with information, please contact us.

11. Health Information

Information you submit through the Site (such as a contact form) is covered by this Policy. Once you become a therapy or clinical client, protected health information created or received in connection with your care is governed by our separate Notice of Privacy Practices and by applicable health-privacy law — not by this Policy. We do not sell health information. As noted above, please do not share detailed health information through general Site forms or by email.

12. Users Outside the United States

The Site is operated in the United States and intended for users in the United States. If you access the Site from another location, you do so on your own initiative and consent to the processing of your information in the United States.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date above and post the current version on this page.
